My car is older, shouldn’t my rates be going down?

The simple answer is yes, they do. When the value of the vehicle diminishes, the risk to the insurance company also decreases. However, there are other factors that play into your insurance rates that often offset those decreases to the point where sometimes you won’t see a savings.
